The ‘FP-C’ Range of flameproof core immersion heaters offers a Hazardous Area heating solution for oil and similar applications where a low heat density is required. The special element/sheath arrangement allows the element cores to be withdrawn for inspection without system drain down. The standard heater consists of a number of element cores fitted into a mounting flange.

Features for immersion heater type FP-C:

  • Certified to meet the ATEX directive 94/9/EC
  • IECEx Certified & CCOE & KGS (Korea)
  • Ex d enclosure fabricated of mild steel or 316 Stainless steel terminal, with weatherproof protection to IP66 or NEMA 4
  • Choice of built-in process temperature sensors
  • Suitable for ambient temperatures from 60°C…+60°C (subject to certain parameters)
  • Mounting of the heater by an industry standard flange
  • Designed for horizontal installation only, vertical mounting available on request
  • Can be supplied with the terminal box mounted away from the fixing boss/flange for high process temperatures -> cooling section
